What is the point of knowledge in this world? Is it to facilitate your own benefit, to gain an upper hand? Or is there some other incentive? Regardless of your viewpoints, it is impossible to deny that knowledge is necessary on all levels of a society. Ways to improve public life, ways to grant ease, ways to make things more efficient, and ways to help others are all means for which members of a society are encouraged to contribute. Being able to reach this level of contribution takes decades of schooling, work, and thousands of dollars. The youth, in this stage, are encouraged to stay in school and not worry about their responsibilities yet. Yet there will always be some ambitious enough to take the next step in their lives, to get a head-start on their life-long contributions to not only to our society, but to the wellbeing of individuals as well. So who are we? We are the Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow: the collection of the finest (and youngest) innovators of our society, working to fulfill our religious duties through our duty to this world.

The Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow, or MLT for short, is a student-run organization that strives to have members of the Muslim and Non-Muslim community give back, and solidify faith in our youth. Our ultimate purpose is to increase youth interest, confidence, and faith in Islam, fostering a community of leaders and givers. Through leadership roles, volunteering hours, and team experiences, we prove that age is not a factor in our ability to create.

Our current plans consist of articles, Instagram posts, speeches, lectures and implementing volunteering services.

Our articles are a means for our members to talk about pressing issues, whatever they would like, or a means to provide genuine character advice from the Islamic tradition. These articles form the basis for much of our social work; posts, model speeches, lectures, and so much more have been based off of them.

Inshallah, once we get past the current situation with the pandemic, our very own team members will deliver speeches and lectures at Masjids and Sunday Schools, providing the perspective and lessons from the hearts of the future of our nation. Our YouTube channel will serve as a repository for such work.

In a few short weeks, we plan to begin tutoring both Islamic and non-Islamic materials, completely free of charge. Some examples of Islamic material include Quran reading and understanding classes, while non-Islamic tutoring examples include traditional school-subject tutoring (math, reading, writing, etc.).

“What if I am not Muslim but want to contribute?”

Just because we are referred to as the Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow does not make us an exclusive organization. Our goal is to spread the knowledge of Islam to everyone and anyone with an open mind. So as long as you have an open mind and are willing to listen AND share your own experiences and wealth of knowledge we would be honored to have you join us on our mission to make the world a better place for everyone.

If you have gotten this far, then you understand our ambition. So we call out to all current and rising high schoolers to join our cause! With someone like you, we can make these goals a reality and go so much further beyond what we could have ever dreamed of, with the will of Allah (SWT).
